Did you know? The defense industry awarded $4.7 billion in contracts to Michigan businesses last year. Those contracts were responsible for creating 50,000 defense-related jobs within the state. That’s a huge number, but it could be much greater if more Michigan businesses knew how to attain these contracts.
That was Skidmore’s primary goal in creating materials for the Michigan Defense Center. By telling the story of available opportunities and creating a clear pathway to business growth, we positioned the Department of Defense and Homeland Security as attractive venues for new business development.
