Account Manager Job Description
The Account Manager is the face and voice of the studio to our clients. Involved from new business meetings and pitches through project completion, the Account Manager is an exceptional communicator and thinker who provides both strategic guidance and day-to-day client management. In addition, the Account Manager is continuously recognizing opportunities inside their client base for new projects, always represents and promotes Skidmore as the best possible source for world-class creative work, and clearly communicates our fun, fearless and fanatical mentality.
Responsibilities
Effectively present, sell and defend studio work to clients
Represent the studio at industry and community functions
Actively seek and identify new opportunities for fun, profitable projects
Stay apprised of client brands, products, services and market developments
Ensure quality of all client deliverables
Manage overall client profitability
Handle day-to-day activities for respective clients
Think strategically on behalf of your clients
Have the ability to tell clients “no” when it’s the right thing to do
Tasks
Respond to client calls and e-mail
Regularly meet with clients face-to-face
Participate in existing client and new client presentations
Participate in internal brainstorming sessions
Track and maintain project opportunities in Workamajig
Download project information to Project Managers
Stay on top of progress of projects through Project Manager
Assist in preparing client invoices/proposals/marketing communications
Assist in preparing strategic marketing/media/PR plans for your clients
Approve client invoices
