Greektown goes all in

When an affiliate of Rock Gaming acquired Greektown Casino-Hotel, they had the perfect opportunity to refresh and revitalize the brand. To extend that refresh to the digital space, they called on Skidmore.

Our task was clear: build an amazing website that would bring a whole new swagger to the heart of Greektown.

It began with Discovery. For nearly two months we researched the full experience at Greektown Casino-Hotel. We ate, we drank, we won, we lost. And along the way, we talked to everyone – employees and patrons alike. What we found was a need for a clean, user friendly website that allows everyone to quickly find the information that matters to them. Through our Design Thinking process, we were able to identify individual needs and address them through messaging and design. That work ultimately cumulated into an easy-to-use site that is truly the first of its kind for a Detroit casino.

Color Palette

Overall, a vibrant reimagining of the casino’s color palette creates a bright and clean look.

The pairing of Greektown Casino-Hotel and Skidmore was a huge win. After the site launched, it was great to get a big kudos on a job well done from Greektown Casino-Hotel team leader Jason Baxter, saying, “A big thank you for the phenomenal site…It has been a pleasure working with you guys and I’m looking forward to the next phase of the site and our relationship.”
